La presentaci\u00f3n reuni\u00f3 lo mejor de su repertorio; <strong>\u201cRunning With The Night\u201d<\/strong> dio el puntapi\u00e9 inicial y transmiti\u00f3 la energ\u00eda caracter\u00edstica de sus cl\u00e1sicos, mientras baladas como <strong>\u201cSay You, Say Me\u201d<\/strong> o <strong>\u201cStuck On You\u201d<\/strong> lograron traer de vuelta los lentos que el p\u00fablico core\u00f3 de principio a fin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>El piano lo cambi\u00f3 todo<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Baile, ritmo y alegr\u00eda contagiaron la apertura; sin embargo, <strong>cuando Richie dej\u00f3 de lado el despliegue esc\u00e9nico y se sent\u00f3 a interpretar<\/strong> <strong>\u201cEasy\u201d<\/strong> \u2014canci\u00f3n que durante la presentaci\u00f3n mezcl\u00f3 con \u201cMy Love\u201d\u2014<em>,<\/em> <strong>la ovaci\u00f3n fue inmediata<\/strong>. Con breves interacciones entre canciones, peque\u00f1os chistes sobre las barreras idiom\u00e1ticas e incluso una falsa invitaci\u00f3n a Diana Ross, <strong>transmiti\u00f3 carisma e integr\u00f3 al p\u00fablico al espect\u00e1culo<\/strong>. La audiencia re\u00eda y celebraba cada ocurrencia del m\u00fasico, <strong>generando una conexi\u00f3n<\/strong> que se mantuvo durante la hora y media que estuvo sobre el escenario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tras <strong>\u201cSay You, Say Me\u201d<\/strong>, los presentes coreaban \u201c\u00eddolo\u201d e intentaron entregarle la primera Gaviota, pero el reconocimiento lleg\u00f3 reci\u00e9n despu\u00e9s de <strong>\u201cDancing On The Ceiling\u201d<\/strong> \u2014tema al que sum\u00f3 la intro de \u201cJump\u201d, de Van Halen\u2014, momento en que finaliz\u00f3 la primera parte del show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vestido completamente de negro y con un collar con cruz\u2014como durante toda la noche\u2014, volvi\u00f3 al escenario para recibir el trofeo e iniciar el segundo tramo de la actuaci\u00f3n. Retom\u00f3 el piano con <strong>\u201cHello\u201d<\/strong> y luego desat\u00f3 la fiesta con <strong>\u201cAll Night Long\u201d<\/strong>, tema al que sum\u00f3 ritmos con influencia de salsa mientras recorr\u00eda el escenario de extremo a extremo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cierre con broche de oro<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cuando la presentaci\u00f3n parec\u00eda llegar a su fin, el creador de \u201cThree Times A Lady\u201d retorn\u00f3 a las tablas<strong> para recibir el m\u00e1ximo galard\u00f3n que otorga el Festival<\/strong>. Esta vez rompi\u00f3 la sobriedad del negro, utilizando un vest\u00f3n blanco y sugiriendo que una sorpresa estaba por llegar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Y as\u00ed fue: con Gaviota de Oro en mano, se dio una pausa, respir\u00f3 y <strong>record\u00f3 a su amigo Michael Jackson<\/strong>. Le dedic\u00f3 las preseas y la \u00faltima canci\u00f3n, fue la misma que compusieron en 1985.
